Boxing
Boxing is a great sport, one of my favorites. It is violent, requires skill and condition and it's violent!
Basically, in the context of this article, you will need either a punching heavy bag or a punching partner. Apparently the partner helps burn more cardio as per this site.
For a 185 lb man, hitting the heavy bag nets you 300 calories burned at 30 minutes while sparring with a partner nets you almost 400 calories burned! I highly suggest you take some basic boxing and sparring classes prior to making boxing part of your cardio regimen.
